Mum goes to work

Hi! it‘s me Lucy Driver! I am a big girl nearly four I have long brown curly hair, a “Nan” and “Granddad” A “Mum” and “Dad” Ooops I nearly forgot an older Brother.

Everybody calls me chatterbox

“Mum” you know when you dropped me off at “Nan” and “Granddad’s” house when you went to work this morning”

“Yes” Said “Mum”

“Well! You’ll never, ever guess what I did; “Nan” let me press the keys on her computer and guess what big shapes came on the screen;

“That was good” said “Mum”

“Granddad” called them number shapes”

“But I pressed another key and guess what! They came on a page and each page had different shapes on. Then “Nan” got some scissors I like saying scissors, scissors, scissors, scissors, it’s like sising; Then with the scissors I cut out the shapes well! With a little help from “Nan” and “Granddad”

“Then “Granddad” put his thinking cap on, and guess what we went into his workshop it’s full of card boxes all kinds of stuff old food boxes butter tubs and everything. And a table to make things on Wow! He let me carry the number shapes.

Then he said “I will get some card from an old breakfast box.”

“Then I put the number shape on the card and pressed it down Guess what he used a play crayon to put a line around like magic there was another shape like mine”

“Granddad” and me did all the shapes on other card from boxes when I go tomorrow he said we could paint them with paints from his high shelf he has lots and lots of colours in tins and little pots he call them hatching paints”

“Do you mean Matching paints?” asked my “Mum”

“I think so; I can’t wait until tomorrow to proper paint with “Granddad”

“Say thank you to “Nan” and “Granddad” then we will have to pick up “Zak” at school “

“Thanks I can’t wait until tomorrow” she shouted as she skipped down the front path towards “Mum’s” car, “Mum” put the car seat belt on then drove to pick up “ZaK”

"He got in the car then he called me “Tadpole” so I sis‘t him all the way home. “Mum” made the tea with buns and cakes, then it was time for a bath and bed “Mum” tucked me in and I fell fast asleep.

To be continued.
